ETHICS – It can be easy to find a reason for bad behavior if there are no absolutes. When we fill ourselves with human justifications and ego, we make immoral decisions.  Our mind is self-regulated and our forefathers understood this.  That is why our constitution and system of laws are structured around universal principles of right and wrong. Where do you find your life absolutes?

Monday (1-16-12) was a day on not a day off for 109 volunteers who came to the Homeless Resource Center to plant the Serenity Garden.  In addition, volunteers picked up litter throughout the surrounding neighborhood. Many neighbors were out and positive comments were received. This service day was coordinated by our AmeriCorps VISTA staff and they did a wonderful job.  Chuck Weber from Channel 12 spent over an hour enjoying himself and interviewing the volunteers.  CHECK OUT THE ATTACHED REPORT  MLKHRC final report 012012

ETHICS – there are many solid and foundational reasons for the ethics or rules we have in society.  They are formed to protect, maintain order and encourage fairness and trust.  We need them because our ability to reason may steer us away from right and wrong by allowing us to justify our actions. Have you been trapped into situational ethics?
